In Santa Cruz sollte man das herrliche manuelinische Tor auf dem Platz der Mutterkirche fotografieren und dieser einen Besuch abstatten, wurde sie doch vom selben Baumeister wie dem Belém-Turm und dem Jerónimos-Kloster in Lissabon erbaut; bevor man dann einen Abstecher zur Quinta do Revoredo in Meeresnähe macht, welche klare englische Einflüsse aufweist.
