Passeio pela História do centro de Vila Baleira, onde a rua mais antiga e a mais importante da ilha, ostenta o nome do seu descobridor, Gonçalves Zarco. Mas ao Infante D. Henrique é feita devida homenagem, através da Alameda defronte do cais, concebida por Chorão Ramalho, tal como é reconhecida a importância de Cristóvão Colombo, que pela ilha também passou e se pode ver o seu museu. Mais recente, o núcleo museulógico de Brum do Canto, o cineasta que melhor conheceu o Porto Santo com o fabuloso filme “A canção da terra”.
Wlak through the history of the center of Vila Baleira, where the oldest and most important street of the island, bears the name of its discoverer, Gonçalves Zarco. Rundgang durch die Geschichte des Zentrums von Vila Baleira, wo die älteste und wichtigste Gasse der Insel den Namen ihres Wiederentdeckers Gonçalves Zarco trägt. Aber auch dem Infanten Heinrich wird gebührend die Ehre durch die Allee gegenüber dem Kai erwiesen, welche von Chorão Ramalho entworfen wurde. Auch die Bedeutung von Christoph Kolumbus, der auf der Insel Halt machte, wird hier durch ein eigenes Museum gewürdigt. Aus jüngerer Zeit stammt das Museum Brum do Canto, der wie kein anderer Porto Santo ein filmisches Denkmal mit dem Streifen “A canção da terra” setzte.
